You can find these two contrasting lakes near Meenikunno bog in the Meenikunno national park, a protected wetland in south eastern Estonia. The lakes are called Valgjärv (White lake) and Mustjärv (Black lake), due to one having transparent water and the other dark water. They are located close to each other making the contast even more unique.
The transparency of Valgjärv can reach up to 8 meters making it the lake with the clearest water in Estonia.
