A set of cast iron vases line the Mayeri staircase which goes up Harju hill behind Vabaduse Väljak (Freedom Square). The vases are decorated with the Estonian coat of arms.
During the Soviet Occupation the coat of arms was removed from the vases, but the vases itself were left standing. In 2009 the vases have been fully restored as part of a major reconstruction of Vabaduse Väljak.
