Using Mozilla and Firefox Search

The Mozilla and Firefox Search facility, is custom made Google search that searches all the official Mozilla and Firefox sites and only those. As a consequence the results are very relevant to Mozilla and its flagship product Firefox. By adding a link or search box to your site or blog and by adding a search plugin to your browser you can make this search facility easily available to yourself and others.

3.1 Search Plugin

To use this custom made Google search directly from your browser add the Mozilla and Firefox search plugin to your browser (click on link below):

3.2 Bookmarklet

An alternative is to use the bookmarklet below, which presents you with a pop-up in which you can enter your query. To save this bookmarklet, 'right-click' on the link and 'save as bookmark or favorite'.

3.3 Keyword Search

Using Firefox go to the search homepage, 'right-click' on the search box and select add keyword for this search. Enter a name, for example 'Mozilla and Firefox search', and enter a keyword, for example 'mfs' and add the bookmark.

Now you can search directly from your location bar, by entering 'mfs' followed by your search terms.
