Countdown To
The form above allows you to create a custom made countdown clock bookmarklet. One that you can launch anytime from your own browser. This way you can always keep an eye on how many days are left to buy that anniversary present for example. Just fill in the date and other details and click on the Generate Bookmarklet Code button. Then save the link in the bookmarklet box as a bookmark (or favorite) and it will always be just a few clicks away.
Note: you may use the word "next" instead of a year,
to indicate the next occurrence of the date. When
the countdown ends the clock will automatically start to countdown to the
same date one year later, without having to manually change the year.
You can tweak your clock to suit your particular needs by changing some of the default settings. For detailed instructions and explanations of all the settings read the Countdown Clock Help Page.
If your language is not available check the overview of supported languages for instructions on how to add it.
The countdown clock uses JavaScript. Hence it will run on the vast majority of present day browsers without any special effort by the visitor (no plugins, no Flash, no Java).
Users of Firefox and IE 7 can install the "search" plugin to count down to any date of their choice directly from the search bar. This works in the same way as a Google search from the search bar except that you must enter a date.
If your browser doesn't support the Open Search standard, try using Firefox.
If, after reading the help page, you still have problems or questions, please visit the Countdown Clock Forum on Google Groups.
There are many browsers and platforms, things do not work the same way for all. I have done my best to make it as compatible as possible but if you still find problems or errors please report them to me.
